Exciting News: Leadership Transition for the Zumbro Valley Youth Baseball League (ZVBL)
As we look ahead to the 2026 season and beyond, we are thrilled to announce an important transition in the leadership of the Zumbro Valley Youth Baseball League.
After many years of dedicated service, Tonya Craig is stepping down as League Commissioner and Director. Tonya’s passion, hard work, and commitment have been the foundation of our league for a long time, building a strong community-focused program that has served countless young athletes across southeast Minnesota. We are deeply grateful for her countless contributions—from organizing schedules and tournaments to fostering competitive yet fun baseball experiences. Thank you, Tonya, for your incredible legacy!
Taking the reins are Isaac Corey and Jamie Meyer, who are excited to step into leadership roles and continue growing the league. With experience in coaching and running local baseball programs, Isaac and Jamie are committed to preserving the traditions that make ZVBL special while introducing fresh ideas to enhance the experience for everyone involved.
Some exciting updates on the horizon include:
- A brand-new website for easier access to schedules, standings, rosters, and news
- Updated league rules for clearer gameplay
- A new 8U division to welcome even younger players
- Formation of a league advisory board to bring more voices into decision-making
We can’t wait to build on the strong foundation Tonya has left and make the upcoming seasons the best yet!
If you have questions, ideas, or interest in joining the advisory board, please reach out to Isaac Corey or Jamie Meyer—we’d love to hear from you.
