We’re seeking 6 total teams—spots filled first-come\, first-served based on registration and payment. \nTournament Details\n\nEntry Fee: $300 per team\nGuaranteed Games: 3 games per team\nAmenities: Food trucks and concessions planned\nRegistration Deadline: April 15\, 2026\n\nRules & Eligibility\nRules are similar to ZVL (Zumbro Valley League) 11U guidelines. All sportsmanship and safety rules from the ZVL website apply and will be enforced. Pool play and brackets available no later than one week before the tournament. \nGame Rules\n\n5 inning games; no new inning after 75 minutes of playing time (coaches/umpires agree on start time at first pitch)\nHome/Away decided by coin toss\nIf tied after 5 innings: up to 2 extra innings\, with last inning starting runner at 2nd base\nTie Breaker: Team that “wins” more innings\nTie Breaker 2: Coin toss\n10-run rule: Game ends after 3.5 innings (or 4 innings if home team leading) by more than 10 runs\nEncourage tempo play: Limit warm-ups\, quick transitions between innings\nField playability determined by host team and tournament director (rain/weather)\n\nBaserunning Rules\n\nNo leading off\nRunners may steal any base after the ball crosses home plate\nNo metal spikes\nCourtesy runner allowed for catcher at any time (last batted out is the runner)\nRunners must slide on all close plays (umpire discretion)\n\nHitting Rules\n\nDropped 3rd strike is an out\nContinuous batting order; free substitutions; all players must bat in order\nBats (for 11 year olds): Maximum diameter 2 ¾” or less at thickest part\, UNLIMITED weight differential\, must have USSSA or USA mark and meet Bat Performance Standards; wood bats allowed\n\nPitching/Fielding Rules\n\n50 pitches per game limit; 80 total pitches for the tournament\nIf pitcher reaches 50th pitch mid-at-bat\, allowed to finish the at-bat\nNo balks called\, but umpire will warn pitcher if it occurs\n9 defensive players on field\nCatcher interference called; batter awarded base\n\nRegistration & Payment\nDeadline: April 15\, 2026 \nComplete the registration form and mail with your $300 check (made payable to Pine Island Baseball Association) to: \n\nPine Island Baseball Association\nc/o Luke Matzek\n1210 Slalom Ball Lane SW\nPine Island\, MN 55963\n\nSlots filled on a first-response\, first-paid basis.
